    Live rock

    I was wondering if anyone is familiar with the life in live rock. I have a curious white "thing" in my tank that resembles, for lack of descriptive skills, a skeleton's hand. It has several long, bony prongs, though it is not hard.

    I have also stored premixed water for weeks at a time and never had a problem. I always recheck the salinity in case of evaporation (I live in AZ) and I check the temperature too. If it is frozen not only will it take time to thaw it will also take time to rise to a safe temp.
