    problem in acclimation (new tank)

My false perculas made it but they didn't seem to be having a lot of fun. It wasn't much fun for me because some of the critters i bought died (with the exception of the fish). Then i got stressed because i was afraid they would die too. When I first started out, I made the same mistake. I...

    Bristle Worms

I've noticed that when i feed my fish, a species of worm exposes themselves from my live rock. They are pink and they have what look like little spines (or bristles on them). I was wondering if these worms are called bristle worms. If so, are they a nuisance? I've read that they are and should...

    Pink tip haitian

I had a Haitian Pink Tip Anemone when i started out (which was stupid) However, i did have it in a tank with 2 perculas. At first the perculas didn't care much for it but over time they started to inhabit the anemone. The anemone didn't look well once that started happening and shortly...

Currently the tank holds 2 percula, 1 banghai cardinal, a C. Banded Shrimp and 8 snails. So my questions are: 1. Will the tank...

    Live Rock bad for fish?

I was at the LFS yesterday and I overheard that LR is not good for a fish only tank because if you medicate the fish, the chemicals will kill the micro-organisms in the rock...and this makes sense...but....my question is, am I doing anything detrimental by having 2 fish in my tank that contains...

    I saw the coolest thing..

albeit its not the first time i've ever seen this, one of my percula finally started "brushing" around in the tentacles of my anemone for the first time since they both arrived. I've seen them in the actual wild in the south pacific. It was cool, we hit a site called clown fish heaven and about...
