Question...? If my tank has ich and I have live rock ,corals and live sand and all the fish die (as I dont have a QT) and it sits fishless for a month will the tank be rid of ich? Second, I have treated it once already with greenex.....can I now expect all my corals and snails and crabs to die?

It seems to be much better since i got a good cleaning crew but before it was horrible. the whole back glass was covered and it started on my rock and tha was it took for me to find out that the cleaning crew was needed.

Flydan, I was reading one of your other threads on culpera. I have heard of this stuff being put in the sump and I dont have that is this something i should consider? Could you explain the culpera concept to me?

Thanks for your input. That is not the cycle I am on now. My day lights are on from 10am to 2pm (insufficient I suppose) Do you think I should crank it up and see if that helps or hurts. I am just leary due to the past algae problem but that was probably due to improper spectrum huh?

Well the rest of the story is in my prior threads, but that WAS my new sump tank. I was totally torked. I was hand tightening the the bulkhead and POP. I think the LFS left a barb on the drill hole but I dont think I would have been able to do anything ya know?

I dont have pics of that but I can tell you my 3 way power compact (Daylight, Actinic, and Moonlight) on a timer is the best investment I ever made. My corals are doing so much better. $327.00 at the LFS.

New setup. This tank is 18in deep and the 55 was 12 so I had to modify the stand to make it 18in deep for the new tank...all done though.
