So you don't replace the pads just rinse them off? Do you use salt water or fresh if you have other media working as your biological filter? John

Just got that air valve and it seems to have helped quite a bit. Will continue to watch the foam production as the unit ages as I only hooked this up a couple of weeks ago and as of now have a 110G tank stocked with only one clownfish. Thanks again. John
