I'm pretty baffled by this one. I am not sure how the death of your leather would affect your tang. Since you state that your water parameters are good. Was he the last fish add to your system. Because you state you have not added any fish since the tang. In a 80 gal w/ 140lbs lr and 16 fish it...
Yes lfs stands for local fish store. I have always kept mine salinity that is in between 1.021 - 1.024. That is what I have always read and have followed. HTH
It could be a Nassarius (sp?) snail or a Bumble Bee Snail. They both have tubes which come out. They use it to smell food I believe. I have several of both snails in my tank and they all cruise around with their snout out. Both like to borrow in my sand bed. HTH
What anthem is trying to say is by "change in enviorment" is how long has the tang been in? And how many fish have you added after the tang? Has there been great water quality fluxuations? These would all lead to stress due to changes in the enviroment. Also I would still highly recommend on...
I try to fly down to Seattle twice a month to go and check out some lfs. I also try and make it down to Cal at least 1 time every six months to check out a couple of places. :)
I use Phytoplex 3 times a week. I also feed my corals live brine shrimp, frozen brine shrimp, fresh shrimp, clams, and scallops. I also dose with Calcium, Iodine, Stronium, and Essestial Elements. Everyone is doing great. :)
Check out <a href="http://www.hellolights.com" target="_blank">www.hellolights.com</a> they are pretty reasonable. I have purchased lamps and clips from them and was happy with their prices and service.
It would have to be on awesome filtration system. I mean 16 fish in an 80 gallon is a bit excessive IMO. It really is not fair to the fish to overcrowd them like that. You have to think of it in that sense as well. Some of the fish he has will get rather large. Just my 2 cents.
Is this leather in the same tank with all the fish you mentioned in another post? If so I would check all your levels. Leathers are hardy but with all those fish your bioload is huge.
I have a short tentacle plate coral. They like medium to high lighting, med water current, and to be flat on the bottom of your aquarium. The reason I say they like the bottom is mine moves around a little and might fall off my live rock if it were placed there. I feed mine fresh shrimp, clams...
I would diffenitly say you have way too many fish <img src="graemlins//uhuh.gif" border="0" alt="[U-Huh]" /> <img src="graemlins//eek.gif" border="0" alt="[eek]" /> <img src="graemlins//eek.gif" border="0" alt="[eek]" /> . I have you checked your levels lately. I would get several of...
Check out <a href="http://www.hellolights.com" target="_blank">www.hellolights.com</a> they are very reasonable. You might be able to get a better deal. Save money on a canopy and make one yourself. :)
Maroon Clowns can be rather aggressive so I would get a fish near the same size also a fish that is not shy. The tang would be a good choice but it is recommend to have them in atleast a 75 gallon. I know alot of people have them in 55's so its your choice. If you are thinking about a Flame...
