we picked up another tank and stuff to begin setting up a qt tank...her yellow tang is fine just breathing a little heavy...the kole tang looks beat up though...hows your battle with ich going?

i am fighting a so far losing battle with ich in my tank...today i was sitting up close to the glass checkign everything out and i noticed tiny white things crawling all over the front glass...i have a hang on thing with chaeto which i stocked with a bottle of copepods...do you think these...

how comes you guys do the bare bottoms? is it just so you don't have to worry about the sandbed and keeping it clean or whatever?

what about light? medium to high? it is high in the tank so it is definately high light

it was from our lfs so it was under mh and it was brought to our tank and put under mh...what kind of flow do they like? if its getting high flow could this be causing problems?

if you could find something that would be safe for hte fish but that you could almost spray over the sand obviously before the water is in...something like a sealant or soemthing...it would be interesting to see...i'd say you have a project ahead of you though!

do you think you could really spreak epoxy over your sandbed? the epoxy is attaching to tiny specs of sand...i can't see it working...

put your water into a glass and perform a water test to see if it is actually your tap water and not something dieing in your tank...

everyone swears by live sand..but i have had a tank up for a year anda half or more with crushed coral and have been very happy with the tank...i have a heavily stocked tank and never clean the cc bed and haven't had a nitrate battle or anything that everyone speaks of

is it possible for a kenya tree to not fully open for a month? ours has been all but closed since we got it...it is getting sort of strong flow and high light...

funny you say that...i am in the middle of an ich outbreak and my yellow tang has no white spots but he is breathing heavy...i thought he made it unscaved...i guess i was wrong...

it almost looks smaller to me...am i missing something?
