i was watching tv and saw a salt water tank with bubbles going up the back of the tank. like one of those 10" to 12" long air stones. Isn't there no air bubbles allowed in saltwater tanks?

Our local fish guy said that 3/4 non tempered is good enough. Said that if u tempered gets ripples/waves in the glass from the conveyor belt. also said that 30" high would be enough not 36".

my glass guy called back and said he can do it for about $6 sqf which is about 600 for that sized tank. Thats temppered glass but only 1/2 thick. i assume i would need 3/4 thick. Does that sound right? Great thread i will have to read more of it after work.

so you could purchase one and it may never turn on if your tank never spikes in tempature.

just trying to figure out how a chiller works. I understand for warmer days it keeps your tanks temp in line. So are you suppose to run your heaters higher so that the chiller kicks in. or is it just for when your lighting heats up your tank.
