Ok so i just got my 125 filled with RO water and i finally get my sump setup, I got a used overhang prefilter with the U tube. Then i cut up my own PVC pipe down so the water would flow directly into my 15 gallon sump. Then i just took a rio 2100 and hooked flexi tube to it as my return...

just wondering if there was anything wrong with coral life salt. Petsmart has a 150 bucket for 43.00 with a t-shirt, oh boy! anyway it's a bit cheaper than IO. anyone have any experiences with coral life salt... i know the company has been around for awhile, just not sure about the salt...

thanks, i did give it a quick rinse, but there was still some residue in some of the more poreous regions. So i think i split the difference. I'm very happy with my order. I got 4 or 5 really nice pieces and a few smaller ones. Overall great stuff, crappy packing job though. thanks matt

Just got my order of base rock in, looks great. I did have a question. Should i rinse it off? It has a lot of powdery residue on it. Didn't know if the residue was beneficial. Any thoughts or opinions would be appreciated. thanks matt

thanks everyone... i won't be adding the mandarin for at least 6 months, probably closer to nine... would it be ok to add all 5 chromis at one time? Or would that cause too much of a cycle? I wouldn't care if i added them slower i just figured they may get along better if they were all added...

thinking about what will go in my 125 gallon tank once it gets cycled... i wanted some schooling fish. So i was thinking about getting something like 5 chromis. I don't want to waste my whole bioload on one type of fish though, i was wondering if these fish produce a lot of waste...is 5 too...

i'd really like to know too! i'm cycling a 125 gallon setup and thought about getting 3 of them so they would school... now i am just thinking about getting one... i think they are really cool looking fish... from what i've heard it's kind of up in the air about being reef safe...most might nip...
