Oh, I had the fans and grills laying around in my spare computer parts... just spliced a 12v adapter on there. Very powerful 120mm fans. The chrome grills are the standard in the computer industry... couple of bucks. I'll just have to watch them for rust... the only thing that isn't stainless.

Yup, over my 40g. 325w over a 40 is a little much I guess, but it's a 40 tall (30Lx12Wx24H) so it shoud be okay. FLATBOYZ : Not entirely sure yet. I would guess that with this setup, lighting wouldn't be the limiting factor in what I can keep. Being fairly tall, I can always place lower light...

crm13: My zoos showed no signs of trauma... whole polyps would just disappear. The best way to find these guys is to wave your hand very near the zoos to make them close up tight and shrink... you should be able to see the little bugger easily then. He's small enough that you might not see him...

I'm not sure if yours is the same or not. I am quite sure that this is the 'Box Snail'... as it had the characteristic pointed 'head', simply a white cone devoid of any features, that comes to a point.

I am also running the popular 10k Ushio/VHO actinic combination. If you are looking for an easier/smaller setup, I know one large coral retailer that runs only 20k MH bulbs and the effect is fantastic... similar to mine, maybe a little bluer.
