    Hydrometer broke in tank!

    anyone ever had their hydrometer break in the tank? the bottom of mine just broke off and spilled the little blacks balls..i got most of them out but i know there were some that fell into the sand and got mixed in..is this gonna be a problem?

    hmm..ive had a porc in a 55g for the past 8 months, and he has been fine. he's only about 6" and has only grown about an inch since weve got him. just make sure you have plenty of small spaces between the rocks..they like to squeeze themselves in them! gl!

    yeah i definitley gotta say the purple lobster...ive had mine for about 6 months now and while i havent lost a fish yet i think ive seen him out from under his rock maybe twice...total waste of money!

    well eventhough i didnt get any responses..its now morning and the milkiness is gone and its just a little cloudy now but no big deal and no fish loss...just cant wait to start the other half sometime later this week...*sarcasm*

    well after a year i decided to make the switch..only thing i didnt count on was my water looking like milk! i figured id have some cloudiness so i only did half the tank today and was gonna wait a day or two the other half... but right now im just hopin my fish hang in there till this water...

    thanks for the advice..what i ended up doing was filling the tube up with water and ironically the lids to the milk cartons i was using to hold r/o water fit perfectly in the tube to block the water and ultimately get the siphon going.

    ive got mine in with a marron clown a humu humu hippo tang and lunare wrasse in my 55 and he gets along with all of them with the exception of snails and the occassional crab that wanders out during the day...mine is onlye about 4 inches long right now and i cant wait to get a bigger tank to put...

    Puffer with an anemone possible?

    i think it just depends on your puffer... i have a porcupine puffer in my tank with a carpet anemone, a pink tip, and a florida condi along with a marroon clown and they have been livnig together happily for a couple months

    well it defintely sounds like tank size shouldnt be a factor.. i have mine in a 55 gallon eventhough i know im gonna have to upgrade it soon to be able to keep him happy. i would just kinda wait and see what happens. puffers have all types of different personalities it may just take a few days...

    my favorite fish has got to be..hands down..my porcupine puffer. i couldnt imagine my tank without him..he has so much personality and i knew from the second i saw him in my LFS that i was meant to have him:)
