I would go ahead and get a heater but just make sure it does not over heat since it is such a small tank. Make sure you get the right lighting too cause the 2.5 your looking at might not have sufficient lighting to support corals.

Hey I was wondering if any of ya knew if LS and LR from California's central coast would work in a tank. Its not exactly that tropical though. The water is in the low 60s and there is no coral reefs in that area?

Did you have to add any extra wquipment to get two lights in there? I thought ya could only put da 1 in the nano cube?

I like your rock set up. Personally I would put in a sun coral they are so bad azz. If you dont know what they look like try to find a pic of one that is opened cause when they are closed their not anything special.

No I don't think you have to cycle a tank that small and I can say for sure just a little filter will do. I don't think you can keep any fish in there long term (probaly not even a good idea for short term) but ya can have a nice crab running around and a little coral. I think i am going to...

Well if you decide you want to do a skimmer ya should check out bigals website they have cheap skimmers that I reckon would do mighty fine in your nano.

I am thinking somewhere between 10 and 15 gallons? WOuld 20 pounds of LS actually be a good amount for this size? I wanted to have a good size sandbed so ya if yall can :help: me id appreciate it.

Well money is one of the reasons I wanna do a nano and yest this is my first tank. I want to do a nano too cause alot of people say its a bad idea but I know it is possible so I am gonna go for it. I just wanna do my research first.
