Hey guys... I just moved to St. Augustine, FL which is located on the east coast between Jacksonville and Daytona. Just wondering if anybody knows any really good places to buy reef stock within 2 or 3 hours of this area? I want to try to dodge the local shops that get stock from the bigger...

Just monitor the tanks. If the club is causing a serious vibration in your tank then it will definately stress your stock. Try to keep speakers pointed away from them as sound travels in a straight line in waves. The waves will hit a source and scatter but the jist of it is in the direct path...

Ummm... I wasn't really asking if the shrimp killed the fish, I was telling. Trust me, the shrimp killed the fish. I know my fish and I've had the flame for over a year... and there was NOTHING wrong with either him or the reef he was in. What I WAS asking was if anybody else had lost a fish...

Most people will say "Don't get coral banded shrimp, they're agressive." I should have listened. One killed my flame angel the day after I put it in my tank... and was working on my tang! I had fun murdering it for its misdeeds, but I miss the angel. Oh well, now I can check out another pygmy...

oh man - very helpful posts!!! turning the bulbs on seperate is definately an issue. i guess i just assumed that they both allowed for that feature. i see icecap sells a digital timer... but thats only a timer for the whole kit and kaboodle eh? not individual bulbs? money be not a factor in...

whats the best bang for the buck ballast if i'm going to run 4 48" VHO bulbs... the coralife 4-lamp kit ($259) or the icecap model 660 ($185)? anybody use either of these?

i'm gonna have to go with the molt. looking between the joints of its legs, red can be seen, even though its green again. i can only assume that this is what lies beneath the exoskeleton. i'm guessing now that the crab had shed the exo just prior to me seeing it. thx for the answers. i'll post...
