    DIY Skimmer Question

I've been doing a bunch of research on diy skimmers for a couple planned tanks. The one thing I've not been able to find is this, when looking at plans, how can you discern whether they're big enough for your planned tank? I would assume it's a mixture of flow and chamber volume, but is there...

    Need reply in 20 minutes.....ASAP!!!!!!

I don't know if the salt adds any meaningful additional weight (wouldn't think so) but I'd always thought freshwater weighed 8.33 lbs/gl. J

    Yet another skimmer question...

That was actually my first thought. I've been cruising ---- and other boards classifieds. I've realized, people that buy good skimmers don't sell them, it's only tyhe bad ones I see up for sale:D I'm honestly really starting to lean towards a berlin Classic. At least there's some good things...

    Yet another skimmer question...

I know there are alot of these posts, as I've spent a good amount of the night pouring over them, however, I'm still gonna make my own. I'm setting up a 55G FOWLR to get myself acclimated to marine tank upkeep. I'll be setting up a much larger (240 or bigger) tank in the very near future, so...

    Clown Trigger and a 55G

First off, I know that a 55 is nowhere near big enough to house a clown for life. I do have an extra 55G right now, and with plans of a fuuture 240G+tank, thought I'd try a marine set-up now to get accustomed to their husbandry needs. I've really wanted a clown trigger, and while it may or may...

Those that have owned Clown Triggers...

The more I look into it, the more I think I'll go w/ a Picasso trigger for my set-up. I know there's still possible probs w/ any trigger, but there seems to be a lot higher success rate with them. They seem to have a "bold" demeanor too, which was probably the most intriguing aspect of the clown...

Those that have owned Clown Triggers...

I'm in the planning stages of my next tank. Won't happen until at least OCt. or Nov., but I like to research:D It will be in the 240G-340G range. I know that Clown Triggers are the [hr] of the trigger world, but Ilike to hear from anyone that has had success keepin them w/ other fish. I plan...
