Alright I did the math on my tank and I figures that if I were to upgrade to metal halide fixtures that I have researched, they would be ending up with less wattages than what I already have. Not much would be lost....only 10 or 15 watts but should I stick with what I have now or upgrade to...

anemones need more light than most soft corals....were u going for a reef tank with mostly corals and a couple of fish or vice versa? What kind of setup were you looking for basically? A word to the wise: books and more books! Reading about the subject can only benefit you and it usually is...

actually I only have two....a coral beauty and a marron clown alright cool I might just go that route thanks for your help...how big do the lyretails get bc I definitely do like those with only two fish being in there and one cleaner shrimp....how many could I put in my tank and be safe...

Im sure I have enough live rock for mine but for the tanks sake ill hold off with the manderin. What about the wrasse somebody please???!?!?! gobies are okay but theyve never been something my jaw dropped at when I saw them.....no offense to anyone but I don't think I really want any gobies but...

my 46 gallon has a maroon clown and a coral beauty and a cleaner shrimp as far as the fish are concerned.... I want to get a velvet wrasse and a mandarin dragonet in there would that be all good??? Just double checking before I commit.....gotta keep it safe YA KNOW WHAT IM SAYIN?!?! lol

All 6 of my other corals are doing great except for my bubble coral, but I think my coral beauty has been picking at it!!:scared: :scared: I always see that little [hr] picking at it but I think it'll be okay until i move it......:D

how much was that light fixture?? Id much rather have it on the sand bed rather than on a rock, so if theres anyway around that id rather go that route.
