Filling up the 150 gallon tank

I put the sand and rock in first........... Pouring sand into water is going to make a huge mess........ but since you've already added water be sure and put the sand in before the rocks so the rocks will have some type of base and not be setting directly on the glass. Good luck

    What is on my clown

I got some liquid medicine called Garlic ?. Can't remember the last name. You soak your food in it for about 10 minutes before you feed the fish. My ick problem went away in a couple of days. I didn't take the fish out since I wanted all the fish to eat the food with the medicine soaked into...

    New filter suggestions

Not planning on putting much else in the tank, maybe 1 or 2 more corals. Don't want a sump because stand I'm using doesn't have room for one and because of the cost involved in setting sump up.

Help me with making a decision on PC lighting

Get a canopy and retro kit. It only takes about 10 minutes to install the kit on the canopy and in my opinion looks alot better than having an open tank. You'll also have less water loss from evapation. I have a 55 tank and the canopy and lights were less than $300 for both. John

    Star Fish

I saw the fish a couple of days ago...... but as I said I moved some live rock around last night and am afraid that I might of placed a rock on top of one of the star fish. I don't necessarily want to move the live rock again tonight but might end up doing so just to confirm if a star fish is...

    Star Fish

I moved some of my live rock around last night and forgot to look for my sand sifting star fish. I don't know if I put a rock on top of either of them but am now worried about them. Question: Should I move the rock again and look for them or will they be able to crawl out from under a rock...

    My first saltwater tank

I've had the brain coral for about 1 month. At times it's really big, other times it closes down but all in all it's been really good. As for the Niger, it doesn't bother the corals at all, I think the Niger is one of the few triggers that doesn't bother coral. Actually the tang is bigger and...

    My first saltwater tank

1 Protein Skimmer, 2 power heads and a whisper hang on. As for backgrounds, I don't really like them, I think they tend to take attention away from the fish and corals. Lighting is PC 2 98 watt white and 2 98 blue Thanks
