ok i do have a skimmer maybe its just to small............the skimmer i have is rated for a 100 gallon tank.........my tank is a 90............the skimmer is a prizm skimmer..........its 1 of those hang on jobs..............maybe its not runnin right or its to small.............maybe its poor...

its just that the temp in the tank and the temp outside the tank is different...................shouldnt be a problem

i just cant seem to get my nitrate levels down below 20 or so............could it be something else..........ohh ...........should i vacumm my live sand.................( nothing is missing or dead so that is not the reason for the nitrate levels)

i use salt masters test kit..............maybe its given me false readings............i just did a 5 gallon water change yesterday my levels droped but nothing major..........i will do another 1 saturday probaly another 10 gallons or so...........i will keep everyone posted.............thanks...

ok............ammonia turns to nitrite, nitrite turns to nitrate correct..........heres the problem..my test results are as follows, ammonia is .50 nitrite is zero and my nitrate is about 20................how can i have readings of ammonia and nitrate and have no nitrite................my tank...
