well before moving fish to new qt tanks those must be cycled as well. and i think you must be prepared to leave them in there for more than a few days. why? because adding new live rock will cycle the tank. remember you must let the beneficial bacteria catch up to the new load in the new tank...

id do 45 days to be safe with no host and pick up the temp to 80 or 81 to speed up the cycle. thats providing you dont have anything else in there. corals are not much for high temps. in the future make sure you have a quarantine tank set up to diminsh the chances of infesting your display...

id probably throw a few more scarlets in there. with my nano i find snails to be a pain..since they grow so quickly they have a tendency to knock things over and shift my goodies more than id like. id prefer to work the glass myself and let the hermits run wild. ive got a 6 gal with one snail...

if its a coral bandit then they usually handg out behind rocks and come out at night after they've established themselves. if its a coral bandit dont get another! they'll fight to death! ive got three skunk cleaners in my tank they do well in groups good luck!

is it a skunk cleaner? how onld is the tank? he might be or has just recently molted. when they do they tend to hide and hang out next to thier shell. using it as a decoy for their new shell is still soft. or he might be a pregnant she tending to the sank of eggs under her thorax. how long...
