Ive picked up asmall pulsating xenia,base abot as small as the end of a pinky finger,for free.kind of my first test coral.Tank is 6 weeks old and it seems to be triving.?if I can keep this aline for a few weeks do you think im ready for some zoos or something else that seems to be easy for a newbe.

I purchased a puple tipped anenome acouple weeks ago that is doing just fine about 3 1/2 inches wide.Ive been feeding it pieces of shrimp and it seems to be getting alittle more stichey feeling.My question is do they ever get large enogh to sting the hand that feeds them.

dont forget to check the ph on your ro water seems the water I buy is always low,so I just have to add alittle marine buffer.

? since adding a few more snails in my tank acouple days ago ive ive noticed about one hundred or so almost microscopic buglike creatures that seem to be mostly on the glass and back of the tank.Any ideas on what they could be? they kind of dart aroud like nats. Any help would be appreciated.

Since ive added afew more snails to my tank there seems to be a lot more suspended matter floating in my tank.Should I use some type of water clarifier or just let my filter catch up. thanks to any replies.

im fairly new to this hobby but from I was told when I puchased my saltwater snails there completly different from fresh.they wont reprduce and clog up your filter like fresh.Maybe someone with more experiance can back me up.

oh I forgot is shrimp the best food for them.I made dinner and ate 12 and saved one for the anenome,minus the sause

Just wondering is thre a general rule of thumb for the number of snails depending on tank size and rock? Right now I have a 24 gl. with 8 varius snails 1emerald crab and a cleaner shrimp.

I have just introduced a pair of true perclas clownfish.Thesmaller one im guesing the male seems to quiver and turn on its side when their together.Is this a normal reaction,is it possable they could be a mated pair.
