I googled the durso standpipe and I am still not 100% sure how they work. Can u please explain in detail how they work on a double overflow

i have pvc pipes in the overflow box, Do I need to remove them and try the vinyl tubing method? It looks to me like once the water reaches the top of the pvc pipe that is when it starts that noise

they are almost underwater but the sound is coming from the overflow box. Do you think that I need to fully submerse both hoses in the water?

it is kinda making a gurgling sound. Where would you put the gate valve at or ball valve because once the water goes to the overflow it goes to the drain hoses to the sump

my return pump is a mag 5. Should I try only using one u tube, or a different pump? I hope not a different pump because that is the only one I have. I just set the tank up for the first time in many, many months.
