its red coating on the glass which comes off fairly easy when I scrape it but I would say its red and slimy all over the LR and pumps..... is this bad or just unsightly? what can/should I do? thanks

hottie, you and I are in the same boat--rarely comes out and sometimes I cant even find him to feed him. Do you have that problem too? and what do you do then?

You're not the only one.... Mine took a little trip over night the first night in its new home, to behind my tank up against the rocks so while he is beautiful you can see him by looking through the side glass... BOO HOO HOO

with regards to the above post, I made a mistake and got the numbers wrong. Got home and checked and ammonia was 0 and phosphates was between 0.25-0.50

there might be some remains of some of the missing fish but I couldnt find any--I just assumed the star would handle all remains even if the fish died from other causes. I didnt think the ammonia was that high to cause fish any stress.

Ophiura as always, the calm head, and I love your posts....and trust me, I dont want to get rid of the brittle star--even though I rarely see him. I fell in love with him when I first saqw him. As far as your questions, I'm emailing from work so I'll answer to the best of my ability... the fish...

I noticed on this site an alert on most (all ?) angels that 2 different types of angels will not get along. I have a coral beauty and was wondering if this was the case with all angels or just the ones I looked at, as I would like to add another type in my 55g reef tank. thanks
