    moving an anemone

I've had a Heteractis Magnifica (Ritteri) for 14 months now and it sits at the top of the glass in a corner. My clowns are leashed to it- also 14 months old. I have tried everything to keep it on a rock but nothing works. They get what they want-and it will go over anything to get to that corner!

    Sun Coral Help

I bought an "ill" yellow sun coral a few months ago that needed some tlc. Only on corner, about five polyps, are healthy and feeding normally. The other polyps were in rough shape and rarely came out, and for the past month haven't ever come out and are dying. I try target feeding the whole...

    red algae

I had it extremely bad like your situation. I bought new bulbs, which I replace now every 10 months, and I keep them on for 8 hrs a day. I also hooked up a phosban reactor and replace the media every 90 days. After that, the algae dissappeared in a week and has never returned.

    Long Spine Urchin

What's your guy's thoughts on l.s. urchins in reef tanks? I have one and it seems okay-but would my coralline algae grow more rapidly if I tossed him? He has never ate any coral, but obviously algae. Just curious on others experience.

    Red Slime-Nothing works! Help!

I am running a "modified" jebo 150. I empty it about once every 5-7 days and the cup is full of black and brown water. I've been playing with my powerheads also. I just turned my lights down to 8 hrs a day. Let's pray!!!

    Pulsating Xenia

The problem could very well be a good problem. What I mean is pulsing xenia thrives on less than pefect water. They like a little "crap" in the water so if you are sure your parameters are super then that actually could be the problem.

    Red Slime-Nothing works! Help!

My tank is two years+ old. I had red slime bad, it took over my whole tank. I used red slime remover several times, with immediate good results, but it keeps coming back. I use ro/di water that has been tested for phosphates, which are zero. My nitrates are zero. I even added a phosban...

    Ritteri stings!

I've had my ritteri for months now, he's easily a foot in diameter fully inflated, and tonight I was house cleaning the tank and I went to move a small piece of lr under his "tower" as we call it and it stung my forearm 5-6 times. I've touched it many times feeding it and what not and never...

    red brown algae HELP!

not really. Kent phosphate sponge is designed to pull phophates out once. If you leave the sponge in your tank after 48 hrs the phosphates will leech back into the water. If you know where your phosphates are coming from, (and know this is the problem) you can use the sponge to pull them out...

    Finger Leather

You want the finger in higher water flow, but not so the water is pounding it. When I got mine it remained small for a week, and everyday I'd move it thinking it wasn't happy. Then, after that week, I propped it up in good lighting, next to a powerhead but not in front of it, and two days...
