I'd use the chemi clean again, but first try to syphon as much out of the refugium as you can. Maybe this will help keep if from returning in the DT

Sorry if it already been mentioned, but what kinda lights are you running? Do you have a skimmer?

I'd still try it. Set it up in a tank by itself. Add a piece of shrimp to get a cycle going. After the cycle add a couple snails and or hermits. Give em a few weeks and see what happens. I'd say if inverts survive and are healthy, other stuff would too.

I would start with new sand. Maybe just a cup or two of your old sand to seed the new. It all depends on how much bigger you intend to go with tank size. If you just go up to maybe a 40 or 50 gal, you may have a mine cycle, but it should be minimal and quick

I havent found anything yet that i can add to my 46 gal without my single 3 stripe damsel trying to kill it. I've had it for a year (since i got the tank) and i hate it. Id love to catch it and get rid of it, but its too fast and im not tearing down my whole reef to get him out.
