I actually did have the return going into the return chamber but found that there were lots of micro bubbles going into my main tank. The next closest place to dump the UV outlet water was the fuge.

going to start a 22g refugium under my 220g. I wanted to use most of the left over sand from my old 60g that I upgraded from. My question about this has to do with the fact that my nitrates on my old tank were through the roof!! Is it a good idea to rinse the old sand and use it in my refugium?

Just set up my new system, I went from a 60g to a 220g. I finally got the canopy on which houses 3 400W 20K MH ...so now i'm wondering which would keep my tank cooler, having all 3 glass covers over the water and under the lights, or taking them off and have the fan that blows across the lights...

I have a 60 gal aquarium with 60lbs of live rock and 30 lbs of sand. I check the water everyweek and for the past few months I have elevated Nitrate between 20-40ppm......I've tried feeding less and everyother day....nothing happened....i do water changes every 2 weeks.....nothing...
