I have one with a coral beauty, 2 clowns and a blennie and he loves my rock, but hes always swimming around. They are a bold fish but mine hasnt hurt any of my fish.
Awsome thanks guys. I ended up getting the 4 bulb vho ballast for a total of 440 watts. I went with the kit that comes with everything but bulbs. I got the 4 bulb setup and just ordered 2 bulbs for now and it only cost me $190.
Im using the actinic and the 50/50 bulbs
actually i threw some frozen krill in there for a few days:) I figured it was high. It has changed from a dark aqua color to a sky blue so i believe its going down.
i just started cycling my 55 gallon. Im testing for ammonia and the test shows me a bluish color, which isnt even on my chart for the test. It goes from yellow to dark green. Does this blue just mean my amonia is higher than the chart goes to??
I have a 55 gallon and i want to start out with either a 2 or 4 bulb vho setup. What i need to know is do i need a ballast, or a wire harness or both.
Does a ballast come with what you need to run bulbs?
