ok, so a filter isnt needed to take out particles like i used one for in a FW tank. i just need something to help the water flow and circulate since ill be using LR and LS? i can use the filter to add carbon and stuff like that when needed.

oh ok, i got it now. i can just add water no problem. most of the stuff on the list is what i was using in my FW tank, so i just added on a few things that i needed to get started on the SW. airpump is for the skimmer, that will work for it correct? i dont understand exactly how a skimmer works...
