Where it is now there is 2 1/2 inches The area I had it in before had less and it settled in right away. I have tried to help by making a little burrow(finger swirl area) like I did before but it hasnt helped

I have a hammer coral and just read that it likes lower light and it is best on the the bottom of tank in the subtrate??? If so I need to move mine.....how do I go about that without shocking it? here is a pic of where it is in the tank thanks
