Picture #1 Can anyone tell me what the green is on the top of the Live Rock? It is a wierd green that just started popping up on the ends where the live rock. Picture #2 There is also a stringy green algae extending off the live rock near that snail in the picture almost looks like tentacles...

Is brown algae bad for your tank other than looking bad? I have a lot in my 20g or I say there is alot. It is covering my LR and LS patchy at best. The 15 hermits and 2 snails we got on this past Friday have been chomping down on it.
