Need help, my tank floods into my sump everytime the power goes out. I can set up buckets as overflows (with PVC, like a sink) to cathc the 10 gallons or so that funnels out but its a lot of water. Are there any other ways to protect my carpet without the home-ade sump overflow catch?

2X250 Halide + 4X65W actinic + moon for a 75 gallon acrylic reef or 2X150 HQI + 2X96 actinic with moon? Is the first too much power or is there no such thing? Price difference is $150....

What if I just use the legs and attach them to the custom case? Then air can flow through and it is 8-9 inches off the tank....would I still need to remove the covers?

won't I then have a high rate of evaporation? What about the fish....gobies, etc. that can jump out?. Is that what the egg crate is for?

Not a glass tank, has a custom lid that holds the fixture about 4 inches over the acrylic tank top, is that enough or do I need the egg crate stuff?
