    Orange sponge tree

OK, so new question for the gurus here. I have an orange sponge tree, had it for 5 months now. It is detatching from it's rock base. I know I can't re glue it, obviously, as superglue would kill the sponge tissue. What do I do? It is a beautiful specimen, about 9 inches tall and 2 full arms...

    Stock thoughts for sons 110

Thanks for the idea of just looking at the pics. I had about the same idea. As for the clean up crew, yeah the puffer and the SF eel eat the small hermits and we replace them. Everyone seems happy thus far so no worries on that. His previous SF eel, which committed suicide by sand sifter...

    Help with my stock list

Help me decide what to add to my tank. I have a 55 gallon long task, 80 lbs of sand and 70 lbs of live rock, with a 25 gallon wet/dry sump and 2 225 gph hobs. I am currently trying to figure out what to add to the tank, as it has been up a year now and is rather well established. Current...

    400 glass

Given the costs, quick figuring, but 6 inch sand bed, 600 lbs of live rock, sump, fuge, pumps, lights, etc. I came up with about $3K just to get it up and running, and that's before livestock. While I would love to have it, I think I'll let it pass *sobs*. I did grab a 110 gallon off this guy...

    400 glass

I have the guys, I think, lol. As for the price, he wants, sit down before you read this, $350.00 for tank and stand. Still apprehensive as to it though, it would have to go in the basement on the slab with that much weight.

    400 glass

I have the opporitunity to purchase a 400 gallon, all glass aquarium. I am a bit leary of a tank this size made from glass, and wonder if anyone else has had any experience with one of these? Measurements are 72x36x36. Personally I am not sure I want to take on a tank of that size and weight...

    Help with Snowfalke Eel

We have a 15 inch long snowflake eel, acquired 7 months ago. He has been a wonderful eel the entire time we have had him; however, the last 4 days he has seemed to go down hill. We put 5 sand sifting crabs into the tank a week ago and he seems to have gone foraging for them. After going after...

    55g 3 months running

Well guys here is my 55 at it's 3 month anniversary. It has been a fun, stressful, eventful, and trying 3 months, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. I find new stuff almost daily and love the thrill of finding something new in the tank. To this point I have found a Ric, a purple mushroom...

    Son's New 55g - Lighting question

We just set my son up with a new 55 gallon tank, 48 x 12.5 x20, or something like that, LOL. The tank is completely cycled (all readings 0 except the occasional nitrate spike) and has about 70 lbs of live rock, 40 lbs of live sand. My question is, he wants to have zoos and mushrooms, I don't...

    Powerhead vs. BH Tang

Well sadly, I must tell you that my $9.99 BH Tang from SWF.com has not made it. I came in this evening to find her attached to the intake on my powerhead. My worry was in her being so small and the exact thing I worried about happened. My Damsels chased her into the powerhead where she ended...
