In Freshwater I would do the same thing. Immediately put fresh carbon in and start doing a water change to bring the levels down. Good-luck. Bumping you back to the top...

skimmer's are pretty simple devices, so I would say any one rated for your tank size should be sufficient. Others should be able to correct me if I am wrong though...it happened once I think.

I am new also and can't help with the questions. But your links are broken since you posted them from a competing company I would think. So no one know which company you are referenceing, and can not check your links to look. Good luck! SWF.com sells rock though...
