he's sifting and digging so much, my water's constantly cloudy with substrate debris. i have a 30 gal. just added filter media. anyone else have this happen?
anyone else have ocellaris that stay at the top, swim on their side, etc after eating? i try to feed them a variety of frozen and such, but my big clown will only eat flakes!
i knew my clowns have been doing mating dance for a month... but tonight i turned on my single led flashlight after dark and counted four babies in different locations... they'd dart into the rocks when they saw the light. according to my research they're about 3 days old. any hope for them...
the middle one used to be the biggest. last couple of days it's mouth has been open and little tiny green dot are coming out every once in a while.
any ideas?
sorry about the pic quality... cell phone.
i have three distinct species of zo's on one rock. my green buttons dominate and i expect them to take over. anyway to remove the others and place them elsewhere?
i have my first two corals...a week old now. a rock of zo's and three red shrooms. i have three duel led moonlights that put quite a bit of light out. tonight, i turned them off and shined a flashlight in later on. shrooms folded up into little purple pods and zo's retracted all the way...
my first corals are green zo's and three red mushroom polyps. brought them home on saturday. the mushrooms just expanded to full size today. think they had trouble after being moved?
i had a bad case of diatoms when my tank was about 6 weeks old. they all disappeared. now i have a new 156w t-5 fixture and it looks like they're coming back! my cuc had this tank spic n' span! ugh!
i have a 30 gal FOWLR. 1 ocelaris, 1 blue damsel, 10 cerith, 10 astrea, 10 blue legged hermits living in harmony. i would like some bright yellow color like the tang (of course my tank is too small for tangs). we're cycled and in good shape.
just received my odyssea fixture... 36", 159w... 2 t5 12k, 2 t5 blue actinic and 3 led moonlights. it's really bright! it's my first real light kit since i switched to saltwater last year.
