I have like a million of those in my 14g nano. They hide in the sand and rocks during the day. You couldn't fine one during the day if you had to, but about 15 minutes before the lights go off they start appearing out of nowhere. Then the tank if filled with them. They breed like mad aslo.

Ok, got the Rio open. It was pretty easy. Basically the wheel and magnet are pretty well worn out. The wheel appears to be worn down inside pretty well and it wobbles at a funny angle. Also, the shaft inside the magnet thingie has worn away on the inside and it wobbles quite a bit too. Oh...

Update No new pics yet. Nothing really to show. Did a fill test and ran the whole system for a couple hours on Sunday. No leaks and the return pump is fine. Skimmer pump only runs if you hit it a couple times. Also scrubbed out everything in the sump but the pumps. Not sure if they can...

Looks like a starburst coral that isn't doing very well. Also, if it starts to open up more, keep an eye on its tentacles. They flow out in the current several inches (min get up to 4-5") and can sting other coral. I place mine in an area that keeps it out of reach of anything it might bother...

Ah. Ok, with that then, here is what I found. Lopha cristagalli. Indo-Pacific My hermits may be an issue. They may pick at any exposed flesh. It eats lots of Phytoplankton. Thanks for the info. We'll see how it goes.
