    Will my Duncans attach itself?

It's skin is definitely spreading over the plug it came on. I think that's actually what popped it loose. The skin ends where the superglue begins. So, I'll put it back where it was happy and hope it grabs on. I also found some info doing the google that said it would.

    Kole Tang scalpels not retracting

Well, for future reference, they're back in their sheaths. Guess he must have gotten startled and had to show off his blades.

Whats going on with my zoas

The second picture is almost definitely a different critter. I got a rock of the orange and green a couple months ago. It looks like it's the same stuff. I got it home and noticed a few button polyps were also attached to the same rock. So, you've ended up with 3 corals. The button polyps...

    Colt Coral

I have one that's reached weed status under 4X96w PC's. When it gets too big I just cut it off at the base with a pair of scissors. I sell/ trade frags and it comes back from the stump. I also have a neon green finger leather going strong in the same tank. The things that make em mad are...

    Trouble with mushroom placing

You can also try cutting the top off a plastic bottle, putting some rubble in the bottom and let it choose it's own rock that way. As long as the bottle is pretty deep he shouldn't be able to float out. If you're having trouble keeping the bottle upright, you can use a magnetic algae scraper...

    Will my Duncans attach itself?

I got a frag with 2 heads a while back and superglued it to a rock and it's been very happy. There are a dozen heads and the original plug it came stuck to is completely covered by green skin. Yesterday, I was dismayed to see it lying on it's side. The glue came loose. It does appear that...

    Kole Tang scalpels not retracting

OK, when I went to bed last night he was all good. I've had him 6 months and he eats like a pig. All kinds of foods. This morning he's swimming and active but his scalpels are noticeably extended and don't seem to want to retract. Think I should worry?

    My First Coral

Don't let all this talk of breaking and gluing get you down, corals are way tougher than we sometimes give them credit for. Since this is your first piece, keeping it semi mobile would probably be a good idea. Frogspawn can send out some pretty long sweeper tentacles and as you add more...

    Diamond Goby? Good idea?

Make sure it's eating prepared food. The sand sifting gobies can be picky about what they eat and if it only wants to catch food out of the sand, it will probably exhaust the food supply in your tank and starve. This guy will dig as well so make sure your rock is on the bottom of the tank, not...

    Aiptasia - NOT AGAIN!

Never heard of em? Well, I hadn't either. They're nudibranchs, that ONLY eat aiptasia. I was completely overrun in both my 24 gallon pod and my 46 gallon main tank. 3 months from deployment and EVERY aiptasia is gone and I managed to catch the berghia that were out looking for food before...
