You do? i wasnt aware of that. I thought the purpose of the mud is for the water to filter through it and keep everything at the right level. Why would you need to replenish it? are tiny little mud particles going always going into your actual tank? if so thats kind of a bummer.

what about the use of miracle mud instead? is that a good idea, bad idea or what? I mean, i am sure everyone has there way, but i was just curious as to what is the more popular way or the better way. I currently have a fuge with like 20lbs of miracle mud and that crap was supposed to be hella...

Ok. I have an 80 gallon tank. its 36X18X20 or at least something close to that. I dont remember the names of the corals... I believe one was a pepperment coral, or something like that. One looked like a long tongue with spikey things on top. I had 2 that where flat, and looked like purple velvet...

how would having a glass top on the tank or a lid on the sump cause splashing? I was just wondering because I am also new to this hobby and often wondered if i should be putting a glass cover over my tank...
