So you're telling me that by making an ad showing only the pig comment and putting in a headline that says "Obama on Sarah Palin" the Mccain camp didn't turn it in to anything?
I fail to see your logic.
Turn about is fair play. It's the same both ways.
BTW, I love the avatar...."Who's the baddest Mofo in Motown.....Shonuff!"

I genuinely think this comment was an attack on the Governor of Alaska, just as I think Obama intentionally flipped off Hillary during the debates.
In both instances it is clear the audience, at least, agrees with my premise.
I think Obama thinks of himself as smarter than the average person (remember his views on the gun owning, church going "common" folk).

This is the key, there is no way the obama camp didn't realise while writing obama's script for that appearance, the implications that would be perceived from that statement. And yet obama still said it. And if they didn't their intelligence should be seriously questioned. And by them knowingly still staying something like that is a personal attack.

See when I see this I think it was cold and calculating, they wrapped it up with some other statement and another comparison comparing McCain to an 8 year old dead fish. But stuff does have 2 meanings. And I think listening to the crowd there was little doubt what they thought he meant.

This wouldn't be an issue if the most memorable line from the Palin Speech wasn't her joke about wearing lipstick.

In more of a political science type of observation. Obama stepped in it. This is why. Now do keep in mind that I am/was a very disgruntled republican with the McCain nomination.
Since McCain nominated Palin the whole focus has been on her. And the fur has been flying. Everything about her is being attacked, from her "special needs" kid and her daughter's philandering to the religious views of a church she used to attend. The focus has been on her in a negative light. People have literally been making stuff up. (like her cutting a program for special needs kids by 64%) and saying enough stuff that reporters in major networks have been picking up and asking the McCain camp about the baseless accusations. And although McCain's camp is seeing good results in the polls, their coverage has basically been discussing the rumors about Palin. Now here come the bumbling Obama. and says a phrase in and of itself is a harmless cliche. However due to the Palin line imo probably the one most remembered (It was a dumb joke) discussing the difference between her and a pitbull. There is a strong correlation among the audience there. Now the McCain camp can turn around and quote obama. And the focus of the conversation is back on Obama, and what he said. And his has bugged obama so much he's mentioned this today at campaign stops and on Leno. Is this going to be an issue next week. No. Why would it? But now obama is busy reeling protecting himself instead of getting his message across. Whatever that might be.

So I haven't read every post---so someone might have already said this but Obama's said that line more then once...and you know who said it before him? McCain (against Hilary). I don't think he was directing it at Palin (who refuses to answer any questions from anyone--its a surprise I guess).
But they all lie, Democrats and Republicans---I tend to look at what they've said and done in the past and that will predict some of their future things. Like Obama saying stuff about FEMA and how he wasn't going to vote for it--then after he got the nominations---he voted for it. And Palin, yeah don't get me started on her.

Two months left and it's mudslinging central. -sigh- I guess if it were easy we'd have a stable economy.

The whole "McCain said it first" is a distortion of history. Google it' there are multiple sites that have the video of this.
McCain was answering a question from a person in the crowd regarding "hillary care".
Obama's comment can be (and clearly was in the audience) seen as a direct attack on Palin; not on her plans...
Like I said, imo, this isn't the first time Obama has done something like this.

LOL. Palin have no Plans. So because the audience laughed, that mean he was talking about Palin. Her name was not mentioned nowhere near that paragraph. He was talking about Mccains plan. Because she used the word lipstick, Obama should be banned from using the phrase. Please. Mccain joked about a woman getting raped before. Mccain have used that phrased about 3-4 times before. I thought everybody on here agree no matter what there candidate of choice does, they are still going to vote for them. You could put lipstick on a pig, it's still a pig. LOL.

It worked for Joseph Goebbels.

Care to compare the decisions Palin has put into place in Alaska in 20 months versus the all of the Legislation in both the State House and US Senate Obama has written?

I relish that comparison...
It's been said before: Obama has written more books than Legislation. Yet, you now wish to say Palin has no plans?
"Hope" and "change" are hardly what I would call a "plan".

I would be pretty accurate to compare obama and his some old liberal cliches to an 8 year old dead fish wrapped in a paper called change.

Palin is running as VP and has a better resume than Obama.
