    Fish Dying After 1 month

hi sorry to hear of your loss. Now that it has happened, have any of the dying fish had any skin spots, salt speckles, any noticeable markings on their bodies. It sounds to me like you may have a host for parasites (the coral beauty), he may have a healthy enough immune system to not show...

treating a reef tank PLEASE HELP!!

Hi I have a 140 gallon reef tank, and whenever I put any new fish in they get some small salt spots almost instantly. I know its because the parasites are living in the bottom of the tank, not enough of them to kill the existing fish, however enough to harm, and usually kill any new comers...

    need help identifying this fish

it looks more like a lopezi than a vlagimi, ive had both, their almost identical fish in juvi stage. However you can tell better at adult stage, but since yours still has the blue spots my guess is def lopezi not vlagimi they turn into a solid more greenish color

Hi just recently got a Large Emperor, currently being QT in a 55 gallon w/ LR. Ive been told to treat new angelfish with Prazi pro. Got some today however girl @ LFS told me not to use it w/ LR. But it says right on the bottle "wont effect biological filtration," has anyone ever used this...

    Canister filters...are they junk?

originally had a 55 gal with a eheim canister worked ok as chemical filtration, but IMO they do nothing biologically, as they are supposed to. too much cleaning, nitrate, etc. dont think theyre worth it. Sumps are the way to go, and you dont have to pay top dollar. You can make one for a lot...

    RO Water System Type

Hi I started with a 55 gallon and used the eheim wet/dry, and the eheim canister. I will be the first to tell you that I had a great deal of algae covering the sand glass, LR, and pretty much anything but the fish. Had to clean the tank daily. Since then I have upgraded to a 140, and at first...

    3 tangs in a tank

Three tangs in a 6 ' tank, absolutely. I have 6 in my 140 they pass each other by just fine, and I have more aggressive ones (Powder Brown, Naso, Lopezi, Blue Hippo, Blue hippo yellow belly, and a yellow). Just a couple things that will help your success rate with tangs immensely; if you do...
