82 is the border of stress and possibly death. 72-78 is ideal. i wouldnt let it get above 80.

how long has this mystery been in the tank and is it alone. they dont really look alike so it could be possible. the tank is big enough for quite a few fish. the mystery is very docile so if you want to try its all hit and miss. there are no guarantees just educated guesses.

when two fish look alike they may fight if introduced separately for sure but less likely when they havent established themselves individually. put in at same time there is less of a chance for confrontation. there are no absolutes. monitoring is the only way. if they fight separate them.

i have 7 of them from small to huge. the small ones open almost everyday but the medium and large seem to be shedding way more often. incidently that is the shiny coating after they close up, they are shedding. no worries just keep the water in good condition and they will open when they are ready.
