dsa_mom and I have gulf view rock. very nice stuff, although we received pieces with several clams, which complicates building and stacking; especially in our high 37 gallon tank, but that's a different problem. other than that, we're both very satisfied with the rock, and we'd recommend it.

One thing to keep in mind, no matter what you decide to do, is that in a high tank like a hex, it is harder for the light to penetrate down to the lowest level through all that water. So this kind of tank may have different lighting requirements than the traditional type of tank. Good luck no...

I'd like to know what kind of lighting an anenome requires. Right now I have 1 20 watt floresent bulb and 1 20 watt blue. My tank is 37 gallons. I asked at my LFS and they said that what I have is ok, but I've read that they need more light than that. Any answers/comments apreciated!

I was just curious about how people run their QT tanks. Like how many gallons compared to your main tank. And do you cycle it? And do you leave it running w/ filter, heater and all, unless you've got sick fish? Or do you set it up when you get a sick fish? Answers appreciated
