    Busted tank!

    everyone answered your first question but not your second! I have a coral banded that lost BOTH claws! That was about three weeks ago, and about a week or so later, he had them back!?!?! Don't get it but I guess he did! LOL!! see what happens and post it so I can find out if this is unusual...

    1) I agree with Reef Ranger, if, for two years your rock was in your tank, you have live rock, and sand is much more naturally and asteticaly pleasing to look at! 2) Have you ever gone to your local grocery store and saw a water refill machine? I get mine at Safeway! It is RO (Reverse Osmosis)...

    glass covers ?

    the glass tops certainly keep the h2o from evaporating in my tank (never had them and added 10 gallon every saturday to my 120 gallon reef tank!!!!) it has been three weeks and only had to add very little :> )! also if your lighting is too close there is a chance of your bulbs getting splashed...

    mh is metal halide, vho are very high output mega watts!! the closer to the sunlight strenght the lights are, the better then better the corals will grow! the quality lighting systems are much more expensive tha n the cheap flourecent lights. Are you going to keep your damsels in the tank...

    green hair algae

    have had same problem for 2 months finally got some Ecythromycin to try to clear it up... it has got to the point that i would rather start my whole tank up over, than to have to continue with this problem!! the medication seems like it is working so far it has been 4 days and nothing has died...

    no such thing as simple! haha.... each needs their own supplements to thrive... ive been using 6 diff bottles for the well fair of my 'verts, corals, and anemone...if ya find an allaround supplement, let ME know! Good Luck-- saltwater is much more time consuming and rewarding that freshwater still!
