    Any seahorse experts out there?

I have had seahorses off and on over the years. Feeding is always the # 1 problem Whether wild caught or captive raised, feeding always seems to an issue and it takes a lot of time, patience, and sometimes $$ to figure it out. For more useful info on seahorses try www.seahorse.org Good luck...

    Seahorse

If I can add my 2 cents... I have had had a lot of experience with horses and they are my favorite. HOWEVER- be prepared to spend a lot of time, energy, and money on live food. Yes, some will take frozen mysis, but a lot won't. As much as I loved them, it got to be a pain running to the...

    2 angels

Hi- I have a yellow angel and last week added a Singapore. First day, the Yellow was all over the poor Singapore- nipping at him and chasing him around without mercy! I was really worried how it would end up, but within a day or two, they were totally fine with each other. A week has gone by...

    Blenny Question?

Hi- I have had more than one scooter blennie over the past 2 years and they all did great eating frozen mysis shrimp. Just drop it in and let it settle down toward the bottom and they love it. At least mine did. Good luck!

    Which sand sifting goby?

I have had a yellow sleeper goby for about 2 years and he spends all day sifting the sand. Very interesting to watch him do his work! It does make a mess though, and he puts sand all over everything in the tank (like on my live rock, decorations, etc.) But he does keep the sand nice and...

    cowfish?

I have 2 cowfish. Got them a few months ago and they were tiny- like maybe 2 inches long. Now they are 5 -6 inches and still growing. They eat like... cows! They have big blue eyes and come right over when they see me. Like little puppies. They eat whatever I put in tank and love a leaf of...

    Lost one clown...

Hey all- I've had a pair of false perc. clowns since May and they were never apart for even a minute. Well, one of them died and now the remaining guy seems very lonely. Is it okay to add a new clown at this point? Will they hook up or kill each other? Thanks for any advice!

    Want to try...

Hey all- Have a 55 gallon tank up since May. All is going very well and it is fish only. Have 2 clowns, a firefish, a scooter blenny and 2 green chromis. Everyone is thriving and parameters are fine. I want to add something like maybe a beginner coral or anemone or something other than a...

    Ocean Rider...

Good luck with the horses. I have had a pair of Mustangs for about 3 months now and they are great. They easily feed on frozen mysis which makes them a lot easier to raise than other horses (which usually need live foods). The only problem I had is that they advertised a "mated" pair in their...

    What do cleaner wrasses eat?

Hi- My cleaner wrasse seems to take nibbles of whatever food I put in but especially likes bits of frozen mysis. I don't have lots of big fish that it can clean, so I guess he's surviving on these"nibbles" of whatever he can get.

    Help! Baby Seahorses this Morning!!!

Hope the babies are still doing well. My horse had babies about 2 weeks ago and all I have left is one survivor. For excellent advice, go to www.seahorse.org. The parents will not eat their young, but other fish might. They will eat baby brine. Don't want to bum you out, but from my...

    firefish

I have had my firefish for about 2 months now and he seems to be doing great. He always hangs around with my pair of flase perc. clowns and they have accepted him as one of the gang. At night he sleeps in a hoolow barnacle and hides in there when he gets spooked. Very nervous at first, but...

    Canister Filters...

Hi all- I am still pretty new at this hobby and want to look into using a different type of filter other than the power filter I currently have (Tetratech). Anyone use a canister filter that they could recommend? Thinking of a Magnum, but not sure. WHat are your experiences with the various...

    Anyone have a "Mono"?

Hi all- LFS had a fish I never saw before called a Mono Argentus. The guy who works there (who I think I can trust) says it is usually a brackish water fish, but it does fine in salt water. It is really a pretty fish- sort of like a freshwater angle with silver, black, and yellow markings. I...

    More than one pygmy angel?

Hi all- I recently added a Coral Beauty to my 55 gallon tank and he (she?) has become my favorite! Would like to add a different kind of angel- maybe a Bi-color or other pygmy. Anyone have any thoughts? Can you put two different pygmy angels in the same tank?
