Urgent:midas Blenny Died With No Known Cause!!!

It just may have been his time. Since he was an adult. It could've been wasting disease or TB but they're more commonly found in angels and tangs. Keep an eye on everyone. he may have been outcompeted for food also. Was he one of the first to feed or did he wait till the others were done? Sorry...

I may have done a bad thing....

It's hard to catch fish. I use 2 nets to catch those that can be netted and a canister for those that can't. Sometimes it takes me hours just to get one fish, but it's better then tearing down the display and then redoing it. As for the formalin it tells on the bottle what inverts if any it's...

    uv sterilizer

I run a double helix UV sterlizer and have noticed a reduction in disease outbreaks but I have also started doing bi-weekly water changes instead of monthly. That may have aided in disease reduction as well. There's people that swear by them and those that say not to waste money on them. I think...

flame angels fin caught in filter!

Feeding fish with Zoe soaked food will also speed healing. I had a saltwater mollie that lost her tail fin due to a rock falling on it. I put her in a hospital tank with lights out most of the time, keep clean water with top notch quality, tried to keep my hands out as much as possible, used...

    Pork Puff w/ICH and lockjaw

Since no one is offering help, I did some of my own research. It is normal for puffers to lose appetite or have difficulty eating due to copper. Most puffs can go weeks without eating as well. No other fish are having problems so I'm going to carry on with the copper as reccommend on the bottle...

    New Tank - Everything Dying!

Chances are you overloaded the bioload by adding too many additons at too close an interval. have you tested for heavy metals or cholorine or choloamine? Tap water can be loaded with them. I'd try using Prime to treat my tap water. Since ph is fine I'd check salinity..sudden changes can affect...

    Snails and wrasses

Is there a type of snail I could get for a 125g/LS/argonite/LR tank that has a lunare wrasse in it? If not a snail then something to aid in cleaning the rocks/sandbed/and glass? The malcusious(Moon)angel isn't doing a good job neither is the Blue Tang. I have some blue leg crabs in there now I...

    Pork Puff w/ICH and lockjaw

Been using SeaCure copper for 4 days as directed on box to treat ICH on puffer and a few other fish in same tank. ICH is starting to dieoff fish but puffer is having difficulty chomping down on his food. I think the copper is giving him this issue as he didn't have it prior to the outbreak or...

    Puff not eating

The puff is a pork and he's about 5 months old. He's about 5 inches long. He coloring is good, fins and eyes are clear. Other tank mates doing fine (bluehead wrassse, cleaner wrasse, 2 baby oclerius clowns, diamond goby, orangetail filefish) are doing fine in the 125 with him. Noone has any...

    Need help Identifying spots

I would guess calcium deposits sicne they are hard and white in color. If you have a master test kit...test for calcium and if the level is higher then the kit says it should be, then calcium deposits are what they are.

I have a filter on my faucet that takes care of that. I just need to know a good conditioner to help make the tap water into viable saltwater over the next month.
