I do agree you'd be better off starting with a newly hatched shark that you the store can verify is already feeding than starting with an egg. It would help to see it feed in the store if you don't know how reliable the store is. A lot of people will tell you a fish is eating even if it's not...

How do you all get such great pictures of your fish? I have a digital camera, not a great one but I can't do anything to prevent glare. If I don't use flash I don't get it but it's never bright enough and I do have good strong lighting in the tank but it never seems to translate to the photos...
