HELP! My toadstool is having problems!

The lights are power compact. 2 65k white and 1 actinic 13w. It's always been plenty for the tank. Upon further testing, the ammonia is 0 and I also found out that my wife fed the fish in the tank right before my last test. Everything else in the tank (soft corals and condi anemone) are...

HELP! My toadstool is having problems!

The parameters are coming out perfect (pH=8.2, nitrates=.1ppm, nitrites=undetectable, ammonia=.1ppm) . I use RO/DI water and mix it with salt about 3 days before each water change (20-30% once/week).

HELP! My toadstool is having problems!

I bought an established 18 gallon nano tank almost a year ago. THe prize coral in it was an awesome huge toadstool leather coral. For the past few days, it's been totally hunched over and doesn't open much. The small "fingers" will come out a little but he is just a husk of his former self...

If you just go to everyone's favorite auctoin site and type "jebo" in a search, you'll find them. God luck!

I looked and you can get the Jebo 220 watt (4x55 power compact) like I have for roughly $75 + shipping. You can then upgrade to a higher quality bulb. The blue bulbs that come with this are not actinic at all and are pretty much worthless. I prefer the Coralife 10k actinics myself. It's true...

    4x55w jebo PC's any good?

I got mine within a week, if I remember right. I don't think I have any pix of that tank anymore, but I'll check. Iv'e since used that light to retro a nano tank but the lights made it look pretty good. And, yes, the seller was aquadeals.

It would be that site. I think it might have been the same dealer but I got mine very quickly.

    4x55w jebo PC's any good?

I bought this really cheap and love it. It's easy to build your own legs for it with plexiglass if you can't find any that fit. I don't really like the light bulbs that came with it but it's worth it even if you replace the bulbs. I had no problems with these lights.

Really not bad at all. There area also pre-fabricated "legs" you can buy at most fish stores and you can just set the fans right on the glass on top of the tank as well. This hobby is usually only as hard as you choose to make it...

Before I modified the fixture, it was 48" long total. Those bulbs are 21" long. I cut the reflector to 19" to fit inside an Eclipse 12 hood. If oyu look in the nano forum I have a post with a bunch of pix attached about the retro-fit. And as for the fans, they typically have a bolt hole in...

For fans, I just searched for "aquarium fans." You can also find fans that'll work at Radio Shack, that are made for computers. Do you have a hod for your tank? I built one for mine that concealed the lights and fans. I would recommend that you build or buy one. Exposed fans, in my opinion...

    lighting help please...

For my 60 gallon, I purchased a 48 in, 4x55 power compact setup. I then built some plexiglass "legs" onto it to set it right onto the tank but with the required 3-4 inches above. I also purchased a couple fans to help with the heat. The lights were only $99 for "Jebo" brand on everyone's...

Would I be able to have a clam in a 12 gallon nano with 110 watts (1-10k white, and 1-10k actinic, my previous post shows the retro in detail) Thanks, Corbett

110 watt retro into Eclipse 12

When my 60 gallon died with a long power failure while I was on vacation, I decided to make my son's Eclipse 12 a nano so so as not to give up the hobby entirely. So I still had my 48" 4x55 watt Power Compact lighting and thought "what the hell?" You can see from the pix that the bulbs are a...

    hair algae problem

I had a major hair algae problem when my tank was newly cycled. In addition to the water changes, lighting changes, and celanup crew recommended, I also purchased a lawnmower blenny and he got rid of ALL of it very quickly. I've enver had a problem with hair algae since.
