10k vs 14k vs 20k pics

yeah that would be cool...i am also considering 2 15k xms...so post those pics...i think the color would probably be more true in bare tank with no eye catching distracting...lol

heres a few pix of my tank and corals.... center is a Ushio 20K sides are Phoenix 14K's all 250W HQI bulbs in PFO pendants and powered by PFO HQI ballast
center of tank i can tell the ushio is more purple while the phoenix is more blue

wow that tank is freakin awesome...you make it a hard decision now...cuz your tank isnt real blue and looks awesome with the 20k and the 2 14ks...i would assume it would be more blue

you will have to put them on a picture hosting website like photobucket...then copy and paste the url into your message box

those are pretty nice shots...the bulbs are pretty white it seems like...but i am pretty sure there is some blue tint to them and they are closer to the 10k

those pics suck yes it is very brite but does have a tint of blue there hard to tell with the pics....the ballast are keystone I got them from my electric suppy house , and mounted them in a metal junction box on the side of the tank...........made my own brackets, reflectors, and hangers for the mogul sockets and purchased bulbs from lfs......and saved a ton of money

i bet you did..quite a DIY job....i have a sunwave 7 for the double hqi and i just ordered the xm 15k...i am excited for tomorrow...had them shipped 2 day just so they would hurry and get here...lol

oh most definitely...im so excited about it i dont even want to go to work in the morning...lol...also the fact i havent had MH for the last 2 months almost
