do you plan on doing anything cool with your refugium or is it just to help the tank? are you going to keep the lighting you have down there or upgrade? critters? LPS?
also, were u mentioning adding an ATS?? where would that fit in and how would you construct it?

I have some nice pieces of rock in there and I plan on using it to seed rock pieces that will be for frags. That light is temporary it's just a 40W softlight bulb... LOL, it's just there for looks. I will most likely add critters and corals in the future. I do want to get some chaeto, macro algae etc... in there asap. If I do an ATS it will be in the skimmer section, hence the idea is to eliminate the skimmer. Thanks for the reply and I hope I answered your Q's

I just received a Refugium Pack with assorted red and green algae. This is probably a stupid question but do I just leave it in there like it is or do I need to "plant it" (push the stems down into the sand)?

Sorry Jas, I can't tell you one way or the other. I do know that the cheato just floats around so no worries there. It looks to me like you got it in there right. The ones that look like they need planted, it looks like yoou did.
If some of that is red grape calupria, I don't think it needs to be planted but you can.
Again, I don't really know. Sorry friend.
It looks really cool though.
You could do another small display down there. Like a lagoon. That would be pretty rad.

UBETCHA!!! I'm a man of my word. I just snapped a pic of the sump in and working. What do you think?!!!

Refugiums look so nice when they are brand new. I like all the different types of algae too. What kind of bulb are you using here for the refugium? It looks kind of small and yellow???

OH, yea. Tizzo showed a pic of each, the real and the imposter and I couldn't remember which was the real one. Got it now. Thanks.
I also think the real ones have one less set of legs.
