lookin good dude. i am interested to see how your refugium turns out!!! please keep us posted with pics when you get it up n runnin!!!!!!!!!!.
oh and it the first pic of the refugium, in, over, under, over. but what are you putting in those compartments and what is the purpose of the eggcrates???

The eggcrate in the 2nd section is so the chemical media (filter socks w/carbon etc...) has something to sit on. The eggcrate in the skimmer section is basically just a pedestal for the skimmer to sit on rather than hanging on the baffle.

No, well yea, it looks like the sponge. The tips (of the hammer) in the pic look really bright green like the sponge. It looks rad.

Thanks, you're not kidding. You should see it under the blue moon LED's! It has two other stalks to the base without heads (tentacles) The base looks like petrified tree trunks. I don't know for sure if it's a torch or a frogspawn? I got it from a local reefer and he didn't really say what it was. I just couldn't go home without it, ya know
