Hey P, what do you recommend for the dimensions (lenght and depth) of the fuge section in the sump/refuge? It's a standard 55 gal, 48" x 21" x 12"

Dam^ Jas, That looks good. Everybody looks happy, opened up nice and wide. Sorry to hear you lost dora. I don't know much about tangs, are they typically jumpers?
Diemensions, What all do you plan on putting down there? Do you have a skimmer?

Thanks! I don't know if they're "jumpers" she's been in the 55 for 6+ months which didn't have a top
I might replace her with a Tomini Tang

Ya I was just thinking about the lenght and depth of the refuge section. The foot print of my skimmer and return pump are 6" each so that takes up 12" at one end and another 12" at the other end for the OF's and bioballs or possibly a TAS. Do you think 2' long and 14" deep will be enough of a refuge for some LS LR and GC?

It should be fine. A general rule of thumb is to have the refug at a min of 10% the tank size. The diemensions you gave will give you 17 gallons. It should work. Plus your gonna run Bio Balls too.
What is TAS? Did you mean ATS?

That looks really nice Jas.
Looks like you didn't do too bad a job getting silicone in those hard to reach panels. Should work out nice.
About the only thing I can maybe think of, is you might want a small powerhead in the refug section to keep the water stired up real good so the water doesn't flow over the top of it.

So how are all your tank inhabitants? The last pics looked really good.
Your building one heck of a nice system.
