Here's a recent pic of my sump, any improvement suggestions??? All my chaeto has recently died in my refuge, should I replace it, try something else to grow or LS? Would the side with the live rock be better off completely full? I've also starting running chemi-elite carbon and have notice a slight increase in water clarity but not a lot. Thanks for any input

I have just a small question...does your skimmer have a leak? I see foam on the outside instead of in the cup....or is it an illusion caused by the camera?

What light are you running in the sump? Could be the reason the chaeto died.
Also, remember that chaeto has to be trimmed/thinned regularly.

It's a macro glo refugium light, its pretty weak. I used to use a 24" coralife T5 but it stopped working on me. Any reconmendations for a good refugium light?

A regular clip on lamp reflector from Lowes and a 65K bulb works great and costs around $10.

I really like the looks of L tanks and the layout of my house would allow for it to be seen from most rooms plus it would allow for the larger volume and still being close to the closet thats going to be the fish room, otherwise all the equipment etc would need to fit below the tank which i want to avoid simply for the amount of extra room in the closet and ease of housekeeping. Plus I've got many ideas for aquascaping in the L tank and love the possibilities of having 2 different layouts to see depending on where your looking from outlook 2010 OnlineMicrosoft outlook 2010Buy Microsoft office 2010

LOL Hey, that's pretty good spamming. You even got a sea horse picture and you talk about tanks and stuff, right before you spam with the links.

I'm having troubles getting my dkh above 7 and staying there. Right now it just tested at 6 with ph 8.33. I do a 25-30g water change about every 5 days. My ato water has kent supermarine dkh buffer in it and I also dose the whole tank when needed. Anyone have any ideas on what I can do or what's causing this?

I think you just have to dose once a week, that's what I do. I try to keep the dkh around 10.

Mine used to stay around 10 really constant, I've just recently started fighting it. Hopefully it'll come around soon.
