I talked with Corey about it when I was l was looking at LEDs for my tank, he said that SPS stay dull under them, and that MH's do them more justice. So my vote stays with MH.

mines too, but as you read the specs of the tank on jbj and says it give the same amount of lumens and par a 150w gives. i guess the brightness is where the sps get the color. ``

alot of the led strips out there are not strong enough to over power your other lighitng, so unless you mod it yourself to add more true 3w super blue leds you're not gonna get much more of a color. ive seen many led set ups and the ratio i like is 3:1 (superblue:white). the best ive seen to date is 3:1 super blue plus t5 fiji purple bulbs

got the light :) the ushio 14k bulb it brought look yellow lol XD but im getting the phoenix tomorrow so no worries :) had to mod it to make it fit. glad to be back with MH :) now to see the sps grow!

reason i have no more sps was cause the led nano so i put them with my t5 and they love it there. so this is a mix tank you can say lol hope you like
