Gobywan inspired me to finally put my build up here, even though its almost midnight lol

Siliconed in rock (which is pointless btw the foam keeps everything in place, well except for the arch; there it was a good idea)

Detail of arch:

Foamed!!!!(the cutout in the upper left is for an overflow box I'll do in the future)

Here I made a little box to set a mj1200 for added flow

I ordered an AC50 (I hope this is enough flow for adequate filtration) and two Nova 2x24w T5HO lights which will be here at the end of the week

I'll do the mods to the AC to turn it into a mini fuge which means MORE PICTURES!!!! Yay!
It's okay you can get excited.

What steps you gonna take to mod your AC into a fuge? Thinking about doing the same thing...

I found a thread on another site that cannot be named, I'll try and post it when I find it.
The jist of it is, you cut up the plastic media thingy to make a grate for the overflow area and cut some acrylic to make a baffle from the pump. Throw in some chemical filters a little chaeto maybe some LRR and presto! Mini HOB fuge.

ok......so the plastic media basket you cut up to make a screen where the waterfall goes out...and then you put a peice of arcylic from the pump chamber to the media chamber to create an overflow...
is this right?

Cayman:
Its the Beckett pond foam you can find at Home Depot. It is fish safe but you should coat it with epoxy of some kind to protect it from the intense UV light from our lamps.

I think under but I'm not sure I'm still looking for you.

I just finished coating the wall with sand. The high from the fumes haven't even worn off yet lol.
Here are the supplies I picked up:
Bonds fiberglass resin (yousmellfishy used this and his tank has been fine for 7 months)
Paintbrush
Mixing stick
Crushed coral sand

And the almost finished product (still needs to cure):

So the wall looks like crap IMO
. I'm going to try to do a second "coat" of sand, only this time I'll crush up the aragonite sand i bought to make dust. Hopefully that'll cover the foam better.

Thanks nissan. The resin is all done curing hopefully I was able to fill in most of the bald spots. I'll post pictures once the sun comes out.
Also an update on the stuff I ordered: I recently moved from Tempe so all my bank info is for that address; therefore I sent all my stuff (lights, filter, sand) to my old address

I'll give them a call when they open and hopefully I can talk to the guy/pick it up today.
Yes, I'm an idiot sometimes.

Okay so I couldn't wait 'til Sun-up.
I think it looks ten times better after I touched up some spots.

I know you can see the foam but it is covered with resin so UV won't bother it and I plan on covering the arch with rics

Detail shot (not the best)

Here is the hole for the future MJ1200

And our newest addition, his name is Titus, he's an american bulldog

Just filled it with water... ya it floats lol. I was expecting that. So it looks like I will have to get more rocks to weigh it down cause I had to push down pretty hard to get it to where I want. I don't think sand alone will get the job done.
And my battery is dead in my camera. I'll get pictures up later today; hopefully after I get my stuff.
